What is an Exercise Physiologist?

University qualified allied health professionals equipped with the knowledge, skills and competencies to design, deliver and evaluate safe and effective exercise interventions for people with acute, sub-acute or chronic medical conditions, injuries or disabilities (ESSA).

Clinical Pilates during pregnancy may help to:

  • reduce back and pelvic pain;
  • boost mood and energy levels;
  • sleep better;
  • prevent excessive weight gain;
  • reduce constipation, bloating and swelling;
  • promote muscle tone, strength and endurance in preparation for labour.

As your pregnancy progresses, the changes in your body and possible symptoms may affect your ability to exercise or to performer particular exercises. Our Exercise Physiologist will adjust your program accordingly, to ensure you are exercising safely.
